For what we are about to receive/have just received

May the Lord make us truly thankful.

We thank thee, Lord,

For these gifts of food and drink

And for thy blessings bestowed upon us

Let us eat and drink in peace and good cheer

and give thanks to our holy Land of England

For her great bounty.

Thank you Lord, for this food we are about to eat

And the company/kinfolk with whom we share it.
